I would like to thank WritersMelon for the review copy.
A rare combination of two different genre, romance and political affairs in one book “When The Chief Fell In Love”. It worked out at some place and missed my attention at some place.
The story started off well with a piece of thrill but that was lost very fast. With the blurb I expected a perfect political thriller but this was more of romance, a matured romantic novel. Author amazingly delivered the charisma between Vihaan and Zaira. A failed relationship by and through time which blossomed again to a forever love by and through heart.
I admire the way author elaborated the side of Kashmiri people pain and love which we always neglect to notice. Author easily walked us through Kashmir with this story line. Hope one day I see Kashmir the way author has dreamed and written.
The romantic part seems to be repetitive. I started to skip the romance portion as my mind imagined that it would the same. The travel plan of Vihaan and Zaira was bit dragging but trust me its worth reading as we progress towards the last page. Author handled the relationship between Vihaan and Zaira with utmost decorum so as to give importance to the political revolution of Vihaan.
Overall “When The Chief Fell In Love ,the gorgeous and beautiful Kashmir happened to our country India”. Recommended to the readers who wish to experience a matured romance novel with social aspects.
